Agency’s Mission Statement
BIA’s mission is to increase the market share of clay brick and safeguard the industry. Specifically BIA supports the industry by rendering technical assistance to architectural designers, providing marketing assistance too the industry, monitoring and positively influencing governmental actions, and providing other member services as appropriate.
Agency’s Goals and Programs offered to Clients/People Served
For specifically the Environmental Health and Safety section, BIA has developed a three-pronged approach to influencing the maximum achievable control technology rulemaking: work with EPA officials in Washington to elevate our issues and ensure that EPA is not lacking any data to address these issues, work with legislatures to assist in bringing our position to the EPA as well as potentially offering legislative relief, and prepare a legal brief if efforts with EPA are successful.
Agency’s Impact on the Community
The Environmental Health and Safety division of BIA has impacted the community by committing to safeguard the environment. The division also protects the safety and health of brick industry workers. They also work to positively influence governmental action.
