Agency’s Mission Statement

To create a Jewish community in Durham that relies on the volunteer work of its members to help out.  It is a community which welcomes all members of any background, knowledge, and religious experience.

Agency’ s Goals and Programs offered to Clients/People Served

The goal is to create a Jewish community and a working synagogue. It also works to do service in the immediate and farther community of Durham.

Agency’s Impact on the Community

The synagogue works with the homeless in Durham, New Israel Fund, Habitat for Humanity, Save Darfur, Community of Caring (synagogue life committee,) and to feed the hungry in Durham and Chapel Hill.

Volunteer Duties

• Stuff envelopes
• Sort and collect food for food drive
• Help in the library
