Beaufort County Animal Control is a county run agency responsible for enforcing state and local animal control laws and ordinances.

Part of the job of Beaufort County Animal Control is to educate the public about rabies, pet overpopulation, and responsible pet ownership.

Impact the Agency Has Made on the Community

It is required that all animals adopted from the shelter are spayed and neutered to help stop unwanted animals from being born that would otherwise add to the pet overpopulation problem.

Duties You Will Perform as a Volunteer

• Clean cages
• Feed dogs
• Wash animals
• Make sure animals are healthy and comfortable
