3/28/13 - Students present at Center for Economic Development
Param Sidhu and Morgan Howell presented their research on optogenetics to an audience of 1000 people at the CED Life Science conference. They shared the stage with Nobel Laureate Jack W. Szostak ("for the discovery of how chromosomes are protected by telomeres and the enzyme telomerase"), former Governor Jim Hunt (founder of NCSSM), and former Glaxo Chair, Robert Ingram (2012 NCSSM graduation speaker and winnner of the CED Life Science Leadership Award).
The conference focused on 'the interaction of startups, pharmaceutical companies and healthcare providers and the impact of the Affordable Care Act.'
