Over the course of the year, Science Department faculty participated in a variety of professional development activities.

- Myra Halpin and Zo Webster developed and led a workshop on the Next Generation Science Standards to a group of science teachers from the STEM Academy in Illinois http://stem.aurora.edu/

- Zo Webster attended a meeting of the NC Science Leadership Association to discuss implementation and assessment of the Next Generation Science Standards.
