10/1/12 - Dr. Brisk honored with the Stanford Teacher Tribute

Congratulations to Dr. Marion Brisk whose exceptional teaching was recognized with the Stanford Teacher Tribute. Grant Means '12 named Dr. Brisk as the educator 'who played a significant role in [his] intellectual, academic, social, and personal development.' 

"I cannot help but credit Dr. Brisk for much of my growth at NCSSM. She helped me understand chemistry. I failed her first test, but she encouraged me to work hard and successfully get an A. But most importantly to me, we shared an interest in alternative energy. Dr. Brisk helped me explore my passion for renewables through research, labs, and even letting me collaborate with her on creating an alternative energy seminar curriculum.
