Ashton Powell, Ph.D.

Academic Interests:  I am interested in how the nervous system develops during embryogenesis, the anatomical basis of behavior, and the molecular and genetic mechanisms that regulate cell biology. I am also interested in the topic of science policy.  Specifically, I look to give students the opportunity to discuss how scientific advances affect the ethical, legal, and policy frameworks of society.
