  • M.A.T. in Science Education, 2004

 Academic Interests:  In addition to physics, I am very interested in cognition as it pertains to science education.  I am curious about the mechanism by which students become better at critical thinking and problem-solving, as well as how to measure gains in both skill sets. 

Outreach Efforts:  Kenan Fellow Advisor/Mentor, member of the Teacher Advisory Group at UNC-Chapel Hill, host/mentor to UNC-BEST Physics students, developer for Triangle Physics Teacher Workshops, presenter at NC Science Teachers’ Association Conference and NC Project-Based Learning Conference
