Honors/AP Calculus (AB) (Interactive videoconference)



Honors/AP Calculus (AB) is the equivalent of a college-level first semester in Calculus. 


The content of the course is very theoretical & demanding and requires you to have a solid background of the concepts covered in Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and Trigonometry. 


To meet the requirements of the College Board Advanced Placement Program for Calculus (AB), the following units will be covered this school year: 


Unit 1:  Preparation for the Calculus (Pre-Calc & Trig Review)

AP Calculus (AB / BC) (NCSSM Online)

BC Calculus covers three semesters of college level calculus in two semesters.  This course is intended for students who have a strong background in pre calculus topics, good reading skills, a desire to learn calculus at a very rapid pace and exceptionally good study habits.  And, as with most online courses, students need to be self-motivated and self-disciplined so that they can work on their own.

Honors/AP Statistics is the equivalent of a one-semester, introductory, non-Calculus-based college course in Statistics. 


The course is to be an introduction for students “to the major concepts and tools for collecting, analyzing, and drawing conclusions from data.” 


These are conveyed through four broad themes:  1)  Exploring Data,  2)  Sampling & Experimentation,  3)  Anticipating Patterns, and  4)  Statistical Inference
