Academic Interest:  I am interested in finding ways to help students apply physics concepts in everyday life, and to mentor students who want to pursue independent physics research projects. Although I am not currently involved in basic physics research, I am interested in nuclear and particle physics and their connections with astrophysics. I have published research papers in those areas, and I read journal articles and attend conferences to try to keep current.
