Biography

I received a B.S. in Education from UNC-Greensboro(1967), an M.S. in Polymer Chemistry from Cornell(1969), and a Ph.D.in Chemical Engineering from NCSU(1974). I joined the NCSSM faculty in 1986 after working in research at Celanese Research Center in Summit,NJ, the Camille Dreyfus Laboratory(RTP), and the EPA(RTP). I currently teach Advanced Placement Chemistry and Polymer Chemistry. I am particularly interested in helping students make connections between general chemistry and polymer chemistry.
