Established in 1979, The North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics Foundation operates exclusively for charitable and educational purposes. The Foundation receives and administers private, corporate, and foundation funds critical to the academic, residential, and outreach programs of the School. The Foundation oversees the management and investment of all funds, including the endowment. Under the leadership and guidance of its Board of Directors, the Foundation continues to make an impact on the current and future growth and development of education. Throughout its 25-year history, the Foundation with the support and aid of the Development staff has raised in excess of $25 million in private support from corporations, foundations, alumni, parents and friends of the School. The Foundation’s current endowment is $4.0 million.
