Unicorns win state cross country championship, compete for three other titles
It's been a tremendous fall sports season at NCSSM! The boys' cross country team won the 1A State Championship with senior Stephen Mulherin outpacing the entire field and posting a first-place finishing time of 15:56:59.
In total, four NCSSM teams competed over the weekend of November 5-6 for state titles, including girls' volleyball, girls' tennis, and boys' and girls' cross country.
The boys' soccer team continues its bid for a state title after winning its second round game 2-0 against Manteo. The team now faces Franklin Academy at home at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 8.
