Christina M. Hammock '97 a Jacksonville, N.C. native is part of a new group of potential astronauts. She is one of eight candidates who were selected by NASA to join the program out of more than 6,000 applicants.
Hammock holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from North Carolina State University and is currently serving as National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Station Chief in American Samoa.
