The easiest way to look for articles from journals or other periodicals is to use an index. An index allows you to search for specific articles using a keyword(s) or subject(s). Some indexes contain only citations and/or abstracts, and some provide the full-text of articles.
The library has access to a large number of indexes, often called databases, covering a wide range of subjects. Click here for a complete list.
Once you have a list of the articles (citations) that you are interested in reading, you will want to gain access to their full-text. Some resources will link to the full-text, usually as Adobe® Portable Document Format (PDF) or HTML files, from the citation itself. Others may offer a graphic,
, or text link, which you can click on to check for the availability of the full text. If a title is not available, you can select to order it through the Library’s interlibrary loan system.
