The Grace Breslin and F. Borden Mace Library serves the students, faculty and staff of the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics (NCSSM).
Location and Hours
The Borden Mace Library is located on the first floor of the Bryan Center.

Exceptions:
On days when students are returning from extended weekends, the library is open from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m.
On an official NCSSM holiday, the library will be closed and will reopen the following day at 8:00 a.m.
Facility
The library covers over 13,000 square feet (Map). Within this space are:
- the library's collections
- small group study rooms with audiovisual equipment
- open study areas
- standalone DVD players and VCRs
- technology help desk (Smart Bar)
- media production and transformation services
- computer (PC and MAC) workstations

The library offers:
- assistance with copyright clearance
- borrowing privileges
- course reserves and e-reserves
- curriculum support
- equipment for loan
- reference assistance and research consultations, including individual and group instruction
- interlibrary loan
- printing
- student leadership and work opportunities through the Liaison and Work Service programs

Collections
Circulating Collection
A searchable list of materials held in the collection is available through the catalog.
The circulating collection of the library features:
- almost 20,000 books and audio books;
- fiction, non-fiction, biography, and reference; and
- largest Esperanto language collection in North Carolina
- more than 2,000 educational and popular DVDs and VHS cassettes;
- approximately 265 music CDs representing various genres;
- more than 50 print and electronic serials including 3 newspapers.
Electronic Resources
The library has access to over 100 electronic resources. In addition to several e-journals the library provides a full listing and description of the databases available for students and staff.
