About Us

In your humanities courses, you’ll learn to think critically and creatively, to open yourself to new ideas and new ways of thinking, to push beyond easy answers to original solutions and responses.  You’ll also develop your capacity to express your ideas in clear, effective speech and writing.  In addition, you’ll learn to develop your capacity for getting beyond yourself, to empathize with others--qualities that are essential for active citizens in a healthy democracy.  And, along the way, you’ll have fun as you awaken to your power and possibilities.
