The regimentation exemplified by the Hitler Youth represented the militaristic ideals furthered by the Nazi regime. Manipulative propaganda such as that produced by Streicher was also an important catalyst for the Holocaust, along with Germany’s defeat in World War I, the failures of the Weimar Republic, and long-held antisemitic beliefs.
