· Academic Honesty and the Code of Conduct: We will discuss the response of the Board of Trustees to the revised Code of Conduct. The Code as we presented it was not approved. There was concern that several of the items were listed as both level 2 and level 3. Of particular concern was academic dishonesty. The APC is working on new wording. The changes that pertain to academic honesty will be discussed. Exerpts of the latest version are provided below and the entire document is attached if you would like to see it. Discussion led by John Woodmansee.
· The academic program: What do we wish to accomplish in the academic programs at NCSSM? What are our goals? How do student and teacher workload, interdisciplinary courses, graduation requirements, alt day and miniterm meet the needs of our intended academic goals?
The recommedation of the APC is that academic dishonesty be only a level 3 (the highest level)
Faculty members on the APC are: John Woodmansee, Gail Hudson, Julie Graves, Lucia Stadter, Joe Liles and Dot Doyle. The committee will meet on Monday 3/20 - if you have questions or suggestions, please talk with one of these faculty representatives.
