Information Technology Services Supports:

• The campus network including all switches, routers, firewalls and access points on the backbone
• campus interface to the internet
• network monitoring and security
• internet domain registration
• net intrusion detection and prevention
• staff computers and the software installed on those computers
• assist student computer issues with software and hardware when possible
• campus databases
• web and network printer services

• computer assignment, setup, delivery and maintenance
• issues related to your computer account

  • access to network shares and networked printers
• computer malfunctions
• web site access -- unblocking or blocking specific URLs
• software needs
• questions about network policies
• management and maintenance of public computers
• NCID account activation
• Locked NCID accounts and password resets

Campus Facilities For Which ITS are Responsible

• All server rooms, wiring closets and public computers
• The 802.11 a/b/g wireless grid
• Maintains the NCSSM AUP
• Local NCID administration including new hire NCID registration and NCSSM employee NCID accounts
