This section provides procedures and guidelines for posting, advertising, interviewing and selecting the most qualified candidate for a position.
An "Application for Employment" is used to evaluate an applicant's experience, education, skills, and abilities and refer qualified persons to departments with job openings under active recruitment. The applicant must complete an Application for each position to be considered.
An Application is in active status from the date it is received by the Office of Human Resources until the position specified on the application is filled or canceled. An active Application indicates the applicant is available for pre-employment selection activities and for employment.
Applicants can download the application from the Human Resources website, or obtain an application from the Office of Human Resources.
False or misleading information or documentation or an omission on the employment application may result in rejection of employment or transfer consideration, or termination, if already employed.
