Blue and Silver

Planned
Giving
"We make a living by what we get,
but we make a life by what we
give."
– Sir Winston Churchill
The Blue and Silver Society has been established to recognize
donors who have supported the North Carolina School of Science and
Mathematics with a planned gift. Historically, more than 90% of
endowment funds at American colleges and schools come from planned
gifts. Currently, only about 20% of NCSSM’s endowment is comprised of
planned gifts.
"What you spend is gone.
What you keep, someone else
gets.
What you give is yours
forever."
– Wil Rose
We invite you to join this special group whose loyalty and support
are the very foundations of the School. With planned gifts, NCSSM can
help you make the most of your donation. In many cases, there are
significant financial advantages to making such a gift.
Planned gifts that the School supports include:
-
bequests;
-
gifts of stock and real estate;
-
life insurance;
-
retirement and/or pension plans;
-
in-kind gifts of personal property; and
-
trusts.
Planned gifts such as these can help you:
"Money is like manure. It’s
not worth
a thing unless it’s spread
around
encouraging young things to
grow."
–Thornton Wilder
