Fourteen lemmings fell from the cliff
And into my arms
As I was skipping
Along the rocky shore
Arms outstretched to catch
Inspiration
Not realizing it would come with so many little paws
sniffling noses
salty lemming tears
Because someone was rude enough
To push them off.
I am sad to say
That my lemmings left me
And swam off
Into the ocean
Which I think
Is just a puddle
Of lemming tears
Collected over thousands of years
As lemmings lean over the edge
To see their friends, that they accidently shoved
And cry
To see if maybe the water will rise enough
That they won’t fall anymore
Just float off on an adventure to the opposite shore
Where little lemming feet leave little lemming tracks in the screen
Venturing into the unknown
On little lemming paw
