NCSSM Foundation Annual Report 2009-2010

SITE: Science

For nearly three decades NCSSM has been a noted resource for North Carolina teachers seeking to enhance their instructional capabilities. For a much longer period of time, the Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation has been working to improve the lives of all North Carolinians. In 2009-2010 the two organizations came together to once again offer a professional development program for North Carolina K-12 teachers called SITE: Science. Facilitated and hosted by NCSSM, SITE: Science allowed teachers throughout North Carolina to become better prepared to deliver science content in the classroom by participating in workshops built around K-2, 3-5, 6-8 and high school biology curriculums. Thanks in large part to the support of the Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation, the workshops were a great success.
