The NCSSM Alumni Board, shall collectively be responsible for the well being, direction, and programming of the association and shall work in conjunction with the Executive Secretary, the Executive Director of the Foundation, and the Vice Chancellor of Institutional Advancement to establish programs, activities, publications, and services that will develop and enhance alumni affinity for and connection to NCSSM in order to both foster relationships between alumni, faculty, administration, and students and assist in generating financial support for the institution.

The key personal responsibilities of each Alumni Board member follow:

1. Attend Board meetings
2. Make Board meetings a priority and agree to serve on at least one Board committee
3. Stay informed about NCSSM programs and activities
4. Serve as a goodwill ambassador for NCSSM
5. Support Board actions and organizational policies
6. Make a personal contribution to the NCSSM Annual Fund Campaign
7. Utilize expertise, contacts and resources to benefit NCSSM
