NCSSM Admissions welcomes you to our campus! We are proud to offer a vast array of events, so that you can see for yourself why NCSSM is North Carolina’s high school. Please note that registration is only available online, and that attendance is not required in order to apply for admission. We hope that you will come and visit us soon!
We have combined our popular Open House, Super Saturday, and Middle School Open House programs to create one dynamic event for the whole family to enjoy! This year, we are hosting three Open Houses and three Multicultural Open Houses. Each event is opened to 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th grade students, and to families of all backgrounds.
These half-day events are designed to give middle and high school families, a comprehensive overview of life at NCSSM. Visitors will enjoy a tour of the campus, as well as engaging information sessions about our innovative Residential and Online programs.
Each student must be accompanied by an adult in order to participate. The Office of Admissions will host Open Houses in September, November, and December. All Open Houses begin at 8:00am and conclude by 12:30pm.
Multicultural Open Houses are designed to expose under-represented minorities in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields, to NCSSM’s unique, academically-charged living and learning environment. These three programs provide an opportunity for students and their families to explore science and mathematics through interactive demonstrations, cultural performances, tours, and information sessions.
October's annual Nueva Vista Multicultural Open House celebrates Hispanic and Latino culture, January's annual Living the Dream Multicultural Open House showcases African-American culture, and February's annual Dreammakers Multicultural Open House highlights Native American culture.
Each student must be accompanied by an adult in order to participate. All Multicultural Open Houses begin at 8:00am and conclude by 12:30pm.
